Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) is the main module of development philosophy in Bhutan. Our country has recognized the efficiency, transparency and accountability as the key component of accomplishment of GNH (Gross National Happiness) and ICT plays a positive role towards attainment of this national apex goal.

The advent of the internet service in Bhutan in 1999, coinciding with the silver Jubilee celebration of His Majesty the Fourth King Jigme Singye Wangchuck was major stride taken by the government in pursuit of achievements of National Goal of Gross National Happiness.

Then, we witnessed the ICT do its magic in the country. Now after almost six years of its introduction, the ICT service, internet in particular has penetrated to remote Dzongkhags and soon it will find its way deeper into geogs to reach the ultimate clients.

The Dzongkhag Administration, Chhukha takes immense pleasure to launch its independent website. The launch of the website is spearheaded towards helping the information make available to all the stakeholders and beneficiaries. The easy accessibility to the information can not only help the planner and decision makers at national level but donors in general can also benefit from the same.

Now, the data and other information with regards to the Dzongkhag will be available within the first click of the mouse. It is also now possible for the information to tickle down to the grassroot level. For instance, the availability of tender documents in the website will make it much easier job for the clients. The earlier haste of traveling all the way to the Dzongkhag to obtain the tender forms will now be surrogated by a seat on a chair to download, print and bind it and submit to the Dzongkhag Tender Committee. The evaluation of the tender will be also announced in our website, which will for no doubt saves time and resources.
