To reduce Turn Around Time for ICT troubleshooting, refresh CC operators on procedures to follow during network downtime and to sensitize them on Information security and Media Policy; Dzongkhag ICT service conducted 5 days training to all CC operators in the Dzongkhag as mandated by DITT, MOIC. The training started on 4th November with the fund from DITT.

The training was mix of presentations, demos and practicals. First day and second day covered various topics related to ICT like, PC fundamentals, Operating System, Utility Softwares, Troubleshooting printers and scanners, Basic networking concepts and Network troubleshooting steps, etc. The Dzongkhag ICT unit also presented and  did practical on G -Suite using free Gmail.
On the following days, District Census Officer, Phuentsholing Regional Trade Officer,  REDCL and Gedu  Forestry Division presented them on G2C services, G2B services, the terms and conditions for online application and many more.

On last day Tsimasham Branch BDBL Manager highlighted on their SOP and POS machine. After that the participants were taken through the  importance of media literacy and media policy. They were also  taught the basic concepts of Information Security, the types of threat at their level and Security measures and controls to apply and adhere at work place & day to day life.

“Information Security is not only IT responsibility but every individual is responsible.”

During the closing session, Dasho Dzongdag shared his concern on the sustainability of CC as the number of people availing the services are quite less. He also adviced the CC Operators to create awareness among the citizens during meetings about the availability of such online and offline services at the grass root level with low cost.
